TASBIH WITH THE RIGHT HAND IS BETTER
Question:
Which hand is better for performing Tasbih, the right or the left?
Answer:
It is better to do it with the right hand, because it has been authentically reported from the Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam) that he used to perform the Tasbih with his right hand. It is also in accordance with the general meaning of the Hadith of A'ishah, may Allaah be pleased with her, in which she said that the Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam) used to prefer to begin with the right hand when wearing his shoes, when combing his hair, when performing ablution and in all his affairs. And all of that is allowed with both hands, according to the Hadiths narrated to that effect.
