REASONS FOR THE INNOVATORS DENYING ALLAAH'S ATTRIBUTES
The innovators – and they are the deniers of Allaah’s attributes, studied philosophy and rhetoric before their study of the Book and the Sunnah, and so because of this they fell into denying the attributes.

Question:
Are the Asharees from Ahlus-Sunnah (the people of the Sunnah) except when it comes to the names and attributes (of Allah)?
Answer:
No they have a lot of issues with them, and are the names and attributes (of Allah) something small?! The Ash'aarees in these times are Tayjaniyyah, Marganiyyah, Suhrawardiyah, Soofiyyah (sufis), grave worshippers, the majority of them. We ask Allah for well being, they named themselves Ash'arees and they named themselves Ahlus-Sunnah.

Indeed Az-Zamakhshari busied himself with rhetoric which was mixed with truth and falsehood; and his book entitled Al-Kashaaf (The disclosure/discoverer) is only an exposition of his condition – meaning that of his Mu’tazilee ‘Aqeedah.
The book: Al-Kashaaf by Az-Zamakhshari is merely a disclosure of his own disgrace; so it is said when asked of him: ‘who are you?’ his reply would be: ‘I am the leader of the Mu’tazilah’.

Question:
Are the Mu’tazilah disbelievers or are the people of innovation not to be made takfeer of?
Answer:
The basis with them is that they are people of innovation who are not to be made takfeer of except those that are the likes of Ibraaheem An-Nidhaam who would make permissible consumption of alcohol and make permissible that which Allaah had declared unlawful. Likewise the case of Abil-Hudhail and those who were from the heads of them and would deny necessary/imperative aspects well known in the religion, as for the rest of the followers who do not know of this then they are considered innovators.

Question:
Esteemed shaykh, may Allaah grant you tawfeeq, is it the case that Imaam Abu Haneefah (rahimahullaah) did not enter actions into (the definition of) eemaan? And is he to be considered from the fuqahaa al murji'ah (the murji'ah scholars) – and if this is actually correct, then how do we make an excuse for this Imaam?
Answer:
Yes, Abu Haneefah and his shaykh, Hammaad ibn Abee Sulaymaan both made this statement – that eemaan comprises speech upon the tongue and belief in the heart, and that actions of the limbs do not enter into it. And this is irjaa, without doubt. For this reason they call them ‘murji'at ul fuqahaa’ and ‘the murjiah of ahl us sunnah’. They are from ahl us Sunnah but this slight mistake occurred from them; and it is a mistake, without doubt. We do not accept the mistake from any single person, not from Abu Haneefah (rahimahullaah) nor from anyone other than him because our goal is what is correct and attainment of the Truth. And this does not decrease Imaam Abu Haneefah’s status with us.

WHAT ARE THE TYPES OF MURJI'AH?
Question:
What are the types of the Murji’ah? Please also mention their statements with regards to the issues of eemaan.
Answer:
The Murji’ah are of four types:
ONE: Those who say that eemaan is merely knowledge (ma’rifah), even if this is not accompanied by testification (tasdeeq).
This is the statement of the Jahmiyyah.
This is the most evil and the ugliest of statements. It is in fact disbelief (kufr) in Allah Azza wa Jall, because the mushrikoon from the early times, and Pharaoh (Firawn), and Haamaan and Qaaroon and (even) Iblees all acknowledged (the existence) of Allaah, Azza wa Jall, in their hearts. However because they did not state this on their tongues, nor testify to this in their hearts, nor act upon it with their limbs, then this knowledge did not benefit them.

What is the difference between the Qadariyyah and Jabariyyah?

Answer:
They are opposites. The Jabaree holds the opinion that the slave does not have a choice or will and that the one doing everything is Allah, and that the slave is deprived of will and ability where as the Qadaree makes the slave a rival to Allaah, meaning he does as he wants without the will of Allaah 'Azza wa Jalla and Allah's aid is sought and for this reason they were named the Majoos of this nation.

What is the ruling on people who allege that the Messenger (sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam) recommended Ali for caliphate? And they say that the Companions, may Allaah be pleased with them, plotted against him?
Answer:
This allegation is not known to be made by any Muslim sects other than the Shiites. It is false and baseless report. On the contrary, there are many proofs indicating that the caliph after the Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam) was Abu Bakr As-Siddiq, may Allaah be pleased with him and the rest of the Prophets Companions Although the Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam) did not explicitly declare, or stipulate it, yet he issued orders to that effect.
