THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE WINE AND ALCOHOL OF THIS WORLD AND THAT OF THE NEXT
Question:

We all know that alcohol is forbidden for us in this world and that it intoxicates and causes confusions, which is why it is filthy, why drinking it is from the acts of Shaytaan, and why – as the Messenger of Allaah Salallaahu alayhi wa sallam informed us – it is the mother of evil deeds. Noble Shaykh, my question is this: Why is alcohol forbidden in this life and permitted in the next?
Answer:

The wine of the Hereafter is pure; it neither intoxicates nor harms. It is the wine of this world only that intoxicates, harms, and confuses. All of the direct and indirect harms associated with the wine of this world are non-existent in the wine of the next life.

There is (one) here who is lax concerning the importance of aqeedah (creed) and he is of the opinion that eemaan (faith) is sufficient (for him). Do you have any clarification concerning the importance of aqeedah for the Muslim and how it reflects on his life, on his relationship with the (Muslim) society (as a whole) and with the non-Muslims?
Answer:

In the name of Allaah, the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy. All praise is due to Allaah, the Lord of the all that exists. And may the peace and blessings be upon our Messenger Muhammad and upon his family and his companions. To proceed:

Question:

WHAT IS THE PROOF THAT IMAAN VARIES FROM ONE PERSON TO ANOTHER?
Answer:

Allaah, the Most High, said,

“And those foremost in the life of this world will be foremost (in Paradise). These will be the nearest (to Allaah).” (al-Waaqiah: 10-11)

Allaah, the Most High, said,

“Then, if he (the dying person) be of the Muqarrabun (those brought near to Allaah), (there is for him) rest and provision, and a Garden of Delights. And if he (the dying person) be of those on the Right Hand, then there is safety and peace (from the Punishment of Allaah) for those on the right Hand.” (al-Waaqiah: 88-91)

Allaah, the Most High, said,

“Then of them are some who wrong their own selves, and of them are some who follow a middle course, and of them are some who are, by Allaah's Leave, foremost in good deeds.” (Faatir: 32)

And in the hadeeth of ‘Intercession’ the Prophet (sallallaahualaihi wasallam) said, “Allaah will remove from the Fire the one who has in his heart Imaan equal to the weight of a dinaar, and then the one who has in his heart Imaan equal to the weight of half a dinaar.” And in another narration: “ And Allaah will remove from the Fire the one who said, “There is no one worthy of worship except Allaah and he has in his heart Imaan equal to the weight of a barley grain, then Allaah will remove from the Fire the one who said, “There is no one worthy of worship except Allaah and he has in his heart Imaan equal to the weight of a wheat grain, and then Allaah will remove from the Fire the one who said, “ There is no one worthy of worship except Allaah and he has in heart Imaan equal to the weight of an atom.” (al-Bukhaaree)

WHAT IS IMAAN?
Answer:

Imaan is both speech and action. Speech of the heart and tongue and actions of the heart, tongue and limbs. It increases with obedience and decreases with disobedience and the people differ according to their level and strength of Imaan.
