THOSE WHO WARN AGAINST READING FATH UL BAAREE AND SHARH SAHEEH MUSLIM
If I had authority over those that speak against reading Fath ul Baaree and Sharh (Saheeh Muslim) of An-Nawawi; then I would take them and put them in prison until they repent.
For this statement (of theirs) is not said except by a foolish one, that of not reading Fath and Sharh Muslim.
Some youth once asked me: ‘what do you say about reading the books of the innovators such as Ibn Hajr and An-Nawawi and other than them?’ so I said to them: ‘If I were in charge; I would shackle you all; and then I would throw you all in prisons.’
This questioning of theirs is misguidance and a straying from the right path.

SHAIKH HAMMAAD AL-ANSAAREE'S ENCOUNTER WITH MAUDUDI
I visited Maududi (Abul-A’laa Al-Maududi) along with some brothers during the course of his stay in Riyadh and he was in the hotel ‘bat-haa’ so we entered upon him and he was praying the ‘Asr prayer, so I began observing his prayer. So when he finished I said to him: ‘This prayer of yours needs reviewing, for you do not raise your hands, nor do you relax (be at ease) and other than that’

REGARDING THE TERM 'THE WAHHAABIS'
Question:
This (female) questioner from France says that she has just professed Islaam and always hears of (the term) “Al-Wahabiyyah", so she desires clarification from the Shaykh regarding this issue, may Allaah protect him.
Answer:
I ask Allaah, O my daughter, that He establish you on Islaam and the Sunnah. O Allaah, establish her! [The Shaykh made this supplication three times]
(The term) “Al-Wahabiyyah” is attributed to Ash-Shaykh Muhammad ibn ‘Abdul Wahhaab (رحمه الله) because he was the one who revived the call of Tawheed in the middle part of the twelfth century of the hijrah. He was aided upon this revival by the Ameer, the Imaam, Muhammad ibn Saud, may Allaah have mercy upon them both.
IS THERE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ‘AQEEDAH (BELIEF) AND MANHAJ (METHODOLOGY)?
Question:
Is there a difference between ‘aqeedah (belief) and manhaj (methodology)?
Answer:
Manhaj is more general than ‘Aqeedah, Manhaj is found in ‘Aqeedah and in conduct and in manners and in dealings – and in the entire life of the Muslim, every course that the Muslim sets out upon is called Manhaj. As for ‘Aqeedah, then what is intended by that is the ‘asl (foundation/core) of Al-Eemaan, along with the meaning of the two shahaadahs and what they entail, this is ‘Aqeedah.
